Software Bundles

The author may combine his/her own programs and create «bundles», add programs of other authors to them and also include his/her own programs into other authors' bundles. To create a bundle and to have the right to sign the bundle agreement, the author should have the administration's permission.

Bundle - is a set of programs of one or several authors, which consists of certain number of copies of different programs. Programs in the bundle may be combined in groups.

The customer can purchase the whole bundle as well as separate programs. The bundles, accordingly, may be static and dynamic.

Static bundles

The author composes a certain set of programs where he/she indicates the program name and number of copies purchased. The customer can purchase only the whole bundle. The price for the bundle is set by the author and can't be changed. The system of discounts for bundles is the same as for the programs.

Dynamic bundles

When composing a bundle the author doesn't fix the number of copies purchased, only setting the minimum and maximum quantity. The customer may select those programs from the bundle he/she wants to buy, and also indicate the desired number of copies.

To create a bundle it is necessary to add a new bundle in the section «Bundles». Bundle will be shown as a program in the catalog, thus the editing form for the new bundle is very much alike the process of editing a new program. The fields are filled in on the same principle as when editing a program.

When creating a new bundle you need to select the programs, the bundle will consist of. They can be programs of the author as well as other authors' programs, which are available for adding to the bundle by the bundle agreement.

When editing a bundle it is necessary to indicate minimum and maximum number of the program copies purchased (in a dynamic bundle), and also, to which group the program belongs and the sort order in the list of the bundle components.

To get the possibility to add other authors' programs to the bundle it is necessary to sign a bundle agreement with the program's author. If the author wants to add his/her own program to the bundle of another person, he/she should create a public bundle agreement. In case the creator of the bundle wants to add this program to his/her own bundle, he/she signs this agreement. The author of the program should also sign the agreement if he/she wants that the creator of the bundle uses his/her program.

The agreement gives not only the right to add the program to the bundle but also sets the price of the program, i.e. the profit the author of the program included in the bundle will get after the bundle is sold.

It is allowed to sign a bundle agreement with one's own to regulate the prices.

The price is formed depending on the type of bundle. When forming the bundle's price it is necessary to select its type.

Static price

The author sets the price for the whole bundle. The customer can only purchase the whole bundle and can't change the number of program copies or purchase selected programs. The price of a static bundle can't be less the sum of the bundle creator's obligations according to the bundle agreements with the programs' authors. If the customer buys several static bundles, he/she can get discounts.

Dynamic price

Price of the dynamic bundle is formed depending on the customer's choice of programs and the number of the copies purchased. The author can't set a price for the whole bundle. When creating a dynamic bundle the minimum and maximum quantity of the copies purchased is set. If the customer is not allowed to purchase this program of the bundle, the minimum value of the quantity should be «0».

For groups of programs it is necessary to indicate minimum and maximum number of the group components the customer may purchase.

The price of the bundle components can be formed in two ways:

• The author can sell the program only in bundle and not publish it in the catalog. In this case the price of the program is defined when registering and is not changed in the bundle.

• The author can sell programs separately as well as in a bundle. The price of the program in the bundle will correspond with the price, shown in the program details. If the author wants to sell his program in the bundle for another price, he/she needs to create a bundle agreement with oneself. In the bundle agreement it is necessary to indicate the programs, available for adding to the bundle, and their new price (or percent of discount).
